Institute is affiliated to Mumbai University and aplomb learners by imparting self financed engineering progammes. The campus of the college is situated in the Andheri (W), and extended in an area of 47 acres land in a picturesque atmosphere. The objective of the institute is to to increase the technical manpower in the country by providing high quality education in engineering and technology & promoting the Indian Values and Ethos that will prepare the participants to lead lives of personal integrity and civic responsibility in a global society.

Placement
The Training & Placement cell imparts industrial training and also fulfilling their needs by imparting placement services through recruitment process and conducting interviews in their campus. Institute invites an amalgamation of international & national firms in their campus for the final interview. The placement cell imparts excellent services, which include employment, career planning, opportunities available, etc.
Infrastructures
The campus of the college is well designed surrounded by the lush green, trees, flowers which creates a scenic atmosphere for the learning. Institute has well designed edifice which comprises classrooms, labs for various programmes, library etc.
Classroom
The Institute has open and air conditioned classrooms, which are well equipped with modern facilities, such as audio systems, Overhead Projects. The seating are designed to provide students with complete comfort for the intense hours of classrooms teaching and interaction.

The central library of the S.P.I.T is well stocked with more than 5,000 books and also subscribes to 21 National and International periodicals along with several online journals. The Library also has an audio-visual room for students to view its large collection of CBT courses where 40 students can sit at a time. Apart from this library has obtained online membership of IEEE and ACM and Institutional Memberships of British Council Library (BCL), Indian Institute of Technology, Powai, Mumba
