Raman Research Institute (RRI) is an autonomous institute placed in the city silicon valley of India Bangalore. RRI started its journey from the year 1948 for imparting research based education in various domains.Β  The institute was established by the Indian physicist and Nobel Laureate, Sir C V Raman, to continue his studies and basic research after he retired from the Indian Institute of Science. In ersthwhile institute is managed by the professor Sir C V Raman, but after his passing in Novemeber 1970, the institute coined a public trust: the Raman Research Institute Trust, which currently managing the RRI institute. Raman Research Institute gets financial assistance from the Department of Science and Technology of the Government of India. The Objective of the RRI is to assist learner in their research and hones their skills in their respective fields.

Infrastructures

The campus of the RRI institute is well designed and fully equipped with latest amenities. The campus of the RRI institute is situated in the It capital of India Bangalore. The campus includes classrooms, separate labs, health facility, canteen and well-stocked library.

Classroom

RRI institute has trendy classrooms which are fully air conditioned and packed with modern facilities like black boards, OHP, LCD, podium, tables and chairs. The classrooms facilities make academics’ conducive for students.

Laboratory

Institute has a well developed electrical lab for its researchers. The lab of the institute assists learners in desiging and developing and also caters the instrumentation needs for carrying out research in the field of experimental physics and astronomy.

(i) millimeter wave and RF design and development,
(ii) Digital circuit design and digital signal processing and (iii) X-ray astronomy instru

The library of the Raman Research Institute (RRI) is fulfilling the needs and requirements of the researchers by imparting an enormous collection of paper & non- paper resources. In paper collection institute provides books in astronomy and astrophysics, theoretical physics, optics and liquid crystals.
