On February, 27, 2009, the foundation stone of IIT Hyderabad was laid by Smt. Sonia Gandhi, Hon'ble Chairperson of UPA. Placement
IIT, Hyderabad placement cell provides placement facilities for its students. Institute maintain healthy relationship with top notch firms such as Broadcom , Strand life science , Morgan Stanley , Paypal Qualcomm, Deloitte, Xilinx, Google, Mercedes Benz, Microsoft. Institute trained its learners through various activities like organising seminars, guest lectures, mock interviews etc. An ERP software firm based in Tokyo made the highest offer of Rs. 35 lakhs per annum for Computer Science student. The average package worked out to be Rs. 9 lakhs per annum.
Infrastructures
In existing time IIT, Hyderabad is situated in a temporary campus, which is fully encircled by greenery, flower beds, water ponds which create a salubrious environment for the academics. Institute provides ample opportunities for students to excel in their fields of study. Institute provides world class infrastructure facilities for the students. Institute has central well – stocked library, a modern computer lab & laboratories, and Multimedia classrooms, sports facilities for students.
