The Indian Institute of Technology-Hyderabad (IIT-H), which has already made a mark in the field of technology, is now all set to impart training business analytics.
The six day certificate course on business analytics using open source R (statistical software) is being conducted by the Computer Science and Engineering Department of Indian Institute of Technology, Hyderabad (IITH) in the month of April, 2022.
Business Analytics as a discipline has become vigorous in data centric world. It refers to technologies, applications and practices for exploration and investigation of past business data to gain insight and drive business planning. Extensive use of computer science is done along with statistical and qualitative analysis to drive decision making.
During the course, the candidates will be taught about the necessary skills and techniques to face the challenges of data intensive decision-making environments. The candidates will also develop in-depth knowledge of concepts like time series forecasting, classification, sentiment analysis, clustering, usage of the R statistical software and regression.
To register for the certificate course a candidate must have obtained an under graduate degree in Mathematics or Statistics. Working professionals can also apply for the course to be offered over weekends. There will an added advantage for those with experience in any programming language.
The course fee is Rs. 30,000 and the enrolment process will be done on first come, first served basis. The classes will begin from April 9, 2022 and will be concluded on May 1, 2022 at the IIT Hyderabad campus. The classes will be held on April 9 (Saturday), April 10 (Sunday), April 17 (Sunday), April 24 (Sunday), April 30 (Saturday), and May 1 (Sunday), 2022.
