Indian Institute of Management, Kashipur : Fees, Admission Procedure 2025, Entrance Exam Accepted & Placements

The applicant should have passed a Bachelor's degree in any discipline from a recognised university. The minimum marks to give CAT exam through which the admissions to the programme are accepted is 50 for general category and 45 percent ST?ST/PWD. 

The admission will be based on the score obtained in the CAT examination.

• The applicant needs to have a Bachelor's degree in any discipline from a recognised University with a minimum 50% marks for candidates belonging to the General category, 47% for NC-OBCand 45% for SC/ST/DAP.
• The candidate must have a minimum two years of work experience after graduation.
• The selection will be based on the score obtained in GMAT/ CAT (last two years) or EMAT (Executive Management Aptitude Test) conducted by IIM Kashipur and performance in the personal interview.

Candidates should have a Master’s degree in any discipline with at least 60% marks or equivalent grade point average with a Bachelor's degree/equivalent qualification after completing higher secondary schooling (10+2)

OR

Must have a five-year integrated Master’s Degree Programme in any discipline with at least 60% marks, obtained after completing higher secondary schooling (10+2) or equivalent

OR

A professional qualification like CA, ICWA, CS with at least 60% marks or equivalent grade point average

OR

4 years / 8-semester Bachelor's degree (B.E./B.Tech./B. Arch. etc.) with at least 60% marks or equivalent grade point average.

And

Minimum 10 years of managerial/executive work experience is required.

Candidates who want to take admission in FPM programme at IIM Kashipur should meet one of the following eligibility criteria

A master’s degree in any discipline with a minimum of 60 percent marks in aggregate or equivalent grade point average with a Bachelor's degree/equivalent qualification.

Or

An integrated master’s degree programme not less than five years duration in any discipline with at least 60 percent marks in aggregate. The degree should be obtained after completing higher secondary schooling (10+2) or equivalent.

Or

A professional qualification that AICTE/UGC/AIU recognises equivalent to master’s degree (e.g. CMA, CS, CA) with a minimum of 60 percent marks in aggregate.

Or

A candidate should have a 4 years / 8-semester bachelor's degree (e.g. BE/B. Tech/B. Arch etc.) with no less than 60% marks in aggregate or equivalent grade point average.

A candidate having work experience in an industry or academics, though not necessary, will be given weightage during the selection process. Also, the work experience as a full-time executive or management teachers in an institution/organisation of high repute will only be considered as the valid experience.

Those who want to apply for the PGP programme at IIM Kashipur should have a bachelor’s degree in any discipline with a minimum of 50 percent marks in aggregate. The degree should be awarded by any of the Indian government established and/or accredited by the related government body.

The Association of Indian Universities should certify the equivalence of the foreign degree. The percentage of marks that a candidate has obtained will be calculated based on the practice that institute/ university wherefrom the candidate has obtained the degree follows.

In the case of students having grades/CGPA instead of marks, the conversion of grades/CGPA to the percentage, again, will be done basis the procedure certified by the institution/university wherefrom the candidate has obtained the degree. In another case, if the university/ institution does not have any scheme for converting CGPA into equivalent marks, the equivalence would be established by dividing CGPA by the maximum possible CGPA and multiplying the result with 100.

Those who are in the last year/semester of their bachelor’s/equivalent degree or have given the papers and are waiting for the result can also apply for the PGP programme. However, if selected, the candidate will be given only provisional admission and have to submit a certificate, when joining, from the registrar/principal of the institute stating that the candidate has completed all the requirements for obtaining the bachelor’s degree/equivalent qualification on the date of the issuing of the certificate.
