Shivaji University established in 1962, is in Kolhapur, Maharashtra, India. The university's campus is 853 acres (3.4519 km2), and is named after Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj, founder of the Maratha Empire. One of the major objectives behind its foundation was to cater to the regional needs of South Maharashtra. The University's efforts towards excellence are being recognised by the substantial grants received from funding agencies like University Grants Commission (India), Department of Science and Technology (India), and DBT.
Shivaji University has recently signed MoU with Bhabha Atomic Research Centre for research in Material Science. It has also partnered with the Indian Institute of Geo-Magnetism, Mumbai and industries like Phyto-Pharma. Institutes including Maharashtra Police Academy and Nashik and Centre for Social Studies have sought affiliation with the Shivaji University.

Shivaji University Application Process
Aspirants who want to apply to Shivaji University must go through the points below:
- Candidates have to fill the form online available on the University’s website. Entrance examination fee for each subject is INR 200/-
- Candidates have to submit hard copy of the application form along with DD or cash receipt by post or in person to the concerned department
- Candidate can apply for more than one course. However, he/she would have to fill up separate forms for entrance examination
- If the number of the candidate is below 10 at the centre, the University reserves the right to cancel the entrance exam centre. The alternate centre will be announced on the official website.
Shivaji University PG Admission
Shivaji University offers an array of postgraduate courses in Science, Arts, Computer Applications, Management, etc. Aspirants must have a Bachelor’s degree to take admission to postgraduate courses at this university. The postgraduate courses are for two years. Students are enrolled on the basis of entrance examinations conducted for respective courses. Post graduate courses related to technology require students to sit for GATE and have decent scores. The University also conducts an entrance examination later.

Shivaji University UG Admission
Shivaji University offers an array of undergraduate courses in Science, Arts, Computer Applications, Management, etc. Most of the courses are for three years, B.Tech is for four years. Aspirants must have completed senior secondary school. Candidates will be shortlisted on the basis of qualifying examinations and merit lists determine their selection. For some courses, the candidates are required to sit for MHTCET entrance exam.

Shivaji University Admission 2017
Shivaji University (SUK) established in 1962, is a public university located in Kolhapur, Maharashtra. The University has been accredited grade ‘A’ by NAAC. It has over 250 affiliated colleges and recognized institutes. It offers various courses at Undergraduate, Postgraduate and Research Level like BA, BCS, B.Com, BDS, MA, MBA, M.Com, etc. Aspirants have the option to apply online. The University also conducts entrance examination to select students for admissions.
At present, there are 40 departments in the University. Besides academics, the University also offers extracurricular activities like, sports, NSS and NCC. Seminars, conferences, symposia are often organized at the University’s campus. Scholarships are also offered to the meritorious students who are otherwise not beneficiated. There’s an ‘Earn and Learn’ scheme.
The University has a placement cell which provides job opportunities to its students. Placement activities are carried out by various departments/colleges in collaboration with the University Placement Cell.
The minimum eligibility to apply for undergraduate courses is to have 10+2 certificate. For applying to postgraduate courses, aspirants must have a bachelor’s degree.
