DTU Admission Process/ Selection Criteria

Once the candidate has applied on the official website, the admission procedure will start. The process would be as follows:

DTU B.Tech Admission Process

• After the candidate has filled in the application form and got shortlisted for the admission they would have to go through the counselling process of the university, popularly known as JAC.
• The candidate would have to deposit the counselling fee in any brand of State Bank of India. Once the fee is deposited, challan will be made available to download from the official website of the University.
• Candidate’s details would be recorded and would be updated on the backend. Now, the candidate can register on the official website with their Name, Date of Birth, JEE (Main) Roll No and JEE (Main Rank).
• Once, the candidate has logged in, a new registration form would be generated asking you more details. Here, the candidate would have also have the option to generate a new password. The JEE (Main) Roll No. will be the default username.
• On the successful completion, the candidate needs to take out the printout of the admission form and get it attested from his/her school principal or a gazette officer. The candidate would need to submit this copy at the time of admission
• The next step is to fill in the branch preferences. Take a printout of the finalized branches. The candidate would need it at the time of admission
• Thereafter, the University will publish a list of provisionally admitted students on the official website. If the candidate’s name is there then he/she must check when the reporting time for counselling is.
• The candidate must be there at the time of counselling with required document and fees.
• Next step is to freeze the branch in which the candidate wants to study. Now, the candidate is admitted to DTU and allowed to take classes.

DTU M.Tech Admission Procedure

• The admission to various streams in different department depends on normalized GATE score. The University prepares a merit list for each course in the department using the normalized GATE score.
• The candidate needs to visit the official website to check if he/she is selected for the first round of admission.
• Once the candidate is selected for first round of admission, he/she must pay the fees to freeze their seat
• The fee receipt needs to be submitted to the Department for validating the candidate’s admission.
• The candidate must finalize the admission by filling up a freezing form and submitting it to the department to validate the admission.
• Now, the candidate is admitted and allowed to take classes.

DTU MBA Selection Criteria                                               

• All the applications received will be shortlisted on the basis of performance in CAT 2016.
• The shortlisted candidates are required to appear for a Personal Interview and Group Discussion.
• Admission will be made on the basis of CAT score and performance in Group Discussion and Personal Interview.

DTU Application Process

Aspirants must follow the steps below for applying at Delhi Technological University:

• The application process will strictly be online. The forms will be available on the official website
• Candidate must complete the registration by filling in their name, valid e-mail ID, date of birth and choose a password. After successful registration, the candidate will receive a confirmation mail.
• He/ she must login with his/her application number as user ID and password
• The candidate must pay 1200/- registration fee online using the web link of SBI collect. A reference number will be generated after the payment is successful.
• They would now need to fill in their personal details in specified columns, upload photograph and signature.
• Next, the candidate would have to choose and select discipline in order of his/her preference
• They must select the category code as given below:

• After successful submission of the online form, Admit Card will be generated. Candidate would have to bring two copies of signed Admit Card along with a photo ID card issued by the Government.
• Also, take a printout of the Application Form for future reference

Delhi Technological University (DTU) PG Admission

The Delhi Technological University (DTU) offers M.Tech under various specializations. All of them are for a period of two years.  The University conducts counselling for allotting seats to the shortlisted candidates who meet the eligibility criteria and have required GATE score. Counselling and seat allotment is held in two rounds with a spot round for any vacancies left. Shortlisted candidates would have to face an interview or a written test after document verification.

For taking admission the student must have a relevant bachelor’s degree from a recognized institution and must have given GATE. If the candidate is shortlisted on the basis of GATE, then no additional test or interview is required.

DTU MBA Admissions 2017

Delhi School of Management constituted under Delhi Technological School provides Master’s in Business Administration (MBA). The University offers regular as well as an executive programme. Both the programmes are for a duration of two years spread over four semesters.

The candidate who’s seeking admission to the programme must fill the online application form.  From all the applications received, the candidate will be shortlisted on the basis of their CAT score. The shortlisted candidates would have to go through a Personal Interview and Group Discussion. The selection would be done on the basis of the combined merit based CAT score and performance in Group Discussion and Personal Interview.

Eligibility Criteria                                                                                                                         

Regular MBA Programme: A candidate must be a graduate with 60% marks aggregate from a recognized institution. 10% relaxation will be given to SC and ST candidates.

Executive MBA Programme: Candidate must have a bachelor’s degree or equivalent with minimum 50% aggregate marks or equivalent CGPA. (10% relaxation will be given to SC/ST/PH and 5% relaxation will be given to OBC candidates).

Work experience is also required for taking admission to Executive MBA. The requirement is as follows:

• Minimum 3 years of experience after four years degree
• Minimum 4 years of  work experience after three years degree
• Working executives as required to produce a ‘No Objection Certificate’ at the time of joining the course

DTU B.Tech Admission

The Delhi Technological University (DTU) offers B.Tech under various specializations. All of them are for a period of four years. Aspirants are required to fill a single online application form on the official website to participate in centralized counselling, popularly known as JAC (Joint Application Counselling). Application forms are declared soon after the results of JEE Main.

For taking admission, the candidates must have passed 10+2 examination as well as JEE (Main). The selection is based the All India Rank prepared by CBSE giving 40% weightage to class XII score and 60% weightage to JEE (Main) examination. Shortlisted candidates ware called for counselling.

Delhi Technological University (DTU) Admission 2017

Delhi Technological University (DTU), formerly known as Delhi College of Engineering was established in 1941.The University also constitutes Delhi School of Management. Approved by UGC, the institution offers undergraduate, postgraduate and research programmes in Engineering and MBA in field of Management. The mode of application is strictly online. Students seeking admission to the university must have completed 10+2 from a recognized board, with minimum required marks in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics.

In B.Tech programme, students will be admitted on the basis of their scores in JEE, whereas students seeking admission to M.Tech will be admitted on the basis of their GATE score. Candidates interested in taking admission to Ph.D. courses need to go through an entrance test to be followed by an interview.  Students seeking admission to MBA need to pass Group Discussion and Personal Interview to get selected.

The Ph.D. candidates need to sit for an entrance test to be followed by an interview.

Seats will be reserved for candidates who belong to Delhi and as per Government policies the seats will also be reserved for OBC, SC, ST, PWD, CW and KM. The segregation is as follows:
