Bharathidasan University

Bharathidasan University was established in the year 1982. It has the accreditation of University Grants commission(UGC) and NAAC with grade ‘A’. The University was formed with the ideologies of the great Tamil Poet, Bharathidasan. The University’s main motto is “We will create a brave new world”.

The University provides affiliations to various other colleges of Tamil Nadu. It is a recognized University of the state. It has two campuses, one is the Main campus, while the other is the Khajamalai Campus, which tends to have been providing post graduate courses.

The University offers a wide variety of courses to its students. There are several departments, for example, Arts, Science, Education, Social Sciences, and many others.

There are at present, 138 colleges affiliated to Bharathidasan University. There are 17 schools and 35 departments in the University currently. Moreover, the University also offers Distance Education Learning to the students of Tamil Nadu and other regions.
