Ashoka University
Ashoka University is a new addition to the upcoming arena of liberal arts, a field which derives its inspiration from all round and ethical development of individuals to become global leaders, or as in the vision of the founders of the university, Nobel Laureates. The main vision of the University is to create such leaders and the world which was envisioned by the ancient Emperor Ashoka, almost two thousand years ago.
Since the concept of Liberal Arts is not very popular in India, the University has tie-ups and collaborations with the topmost universities abroad, Including Stanford, Penn and many others.
What was initially supposed to be started as an engineering institution, the actual implementation turned out to be bent towards the social, sciences, humanities, taught in a comprehensive manner, which can all be put under the single umbrella of the Liberal Arts.
Ashoka University (AU) PG Admission
Ashoka University offers three types of postgraduate programmes: Young India Fellowship (YIF), a one-year multidisciplinary diploma programme in Liberal Studies. After doing this programme, students have the option to pursue Masters in Liberal Studies (MLS). Apart from this, the University also offers Masters in Economics. Ashoka University Young India Fellowship (YIF) Admission
Young India Fellowship programme by Ashoka University is a one year multidisciplinary diploma programme in Liberal Studies. This programme is good for anybody who has leadership potential and becoming a self-aware leader with a commitment to public service. To be a part of this programme, aspirants need to fulfil the eligibility criteria given below:·

An undergraduate or a postgraduate degree in any discipline from a recognized university

Maximum of 28 years of age as on the date of admission

Ashoka University (AU) UG Admission
Ashoka University offers a multidisciplinary undergraduate programme, understanding the importance of exposing students to different perspectives. The University offers Majors in 9 subjects and interdisciplinary Majors in 8 subjects, thus offering students a total of 17 options to do Majors in. Students can also pick Minors from 15 courses the University has to offer.
To attain a Bachelor’s degree from Ashoka University, the students need to pass courses that are majorly divided into three categories, namely, Foundation Courses, Major Courses and Co-Curricular Courses. Each course carries credit points and by the end of three year students need to accumulate 100 credit points.

Ashoka University Admission 2017
Ashoka University is a private university (UGC approved) established in 2014. Located in Haryana, India, it is an interdisciplinary and multidisciplinary research university, which focuses on liberal arts education. The University offers Undergraduate and Postgraduate courses along with several summer programmes, international courses and a unique summer residential high school programme. The University follows ‘Experimental Learning Method’, wherein subjects are divided into modules.
Aspirants have the option to either fill the application form online through the website or can request for a downloaded form from the Admissions Office. The University doesn’t charge any application fee. Applications will be reviewed and the corresponding candidates will be considered for the admission.
They are partners with various International Universities, namely, University of Michigan, Carleton College, King’s College London, Trinity College Dublin, UC Berkeley, Yale University and much more. These universities have signed to provide assistance in developing Ashoka University’s unique curriculum and establishing the necessary academic departments.
The university follows a two-stage process to assess the candidate’s potential and thus offers admission to its various courses. Students are evaluated on the basis of their academic performance, participation in extra-curricular activities, performance in the personal interview and AAT (Ashoka Aptitude Test).
