The All India Bar Examination (AIBE) is an all India level entrance examination, which is conducted by the Bar Council of India (BCI). The examination is organised to evaluate the advocate’s skills and aptitude to practice the law in India. AIBE is required to get the authority to practice law after getting a law degree from a BCI recognised college or university. Law graduates are awarded the “Certificate of Practice” by the BCI upon qualifying the entrance exam.

AIBE 2023 registration process started from September 01, 2023. AIBE 2023 application can be filed both in online as well as offline mode. AIBE 2023 exam will be held in 40 cities across the country. The AIBE paper will be conducted in 11 languages to evaluate the ability of lawyer who wants to practice law in India. 

AIBE 2023 Eligibility Criteria

It is essential for the candidates to meet AIBE 2023 eligibility criteria to apply for the exam. Only the candidates who meet all the conditions can proceed with the registration process. Given below is AIBE 2023 eligibility criteria for the candidates who are planning to apply for this exam.

  • Candidates should a citizen of India
  • Candidates should have completed 3 or 5 years’ LL.B degree from a BCI recognized law school
  • There is no minimum percentage requirement into qualifying exam
  • Law graduates appearing for AIBE 2023 must be enrolled with respective State Bar Council. In addition to this, they should have also possessed an advocate enrollment card from State Bar Council
  • There is no minimum or maximum age limit to apply for AIBE 2023 exam
  • Candidates can appear for this exam as many times as they want

AIBE 2023 Application Details

AIBE 2023 application forms are available both in online as well as offline mode. But it is always better to fill the form online as it saves you from the hassle of posting the hard copy as well as the risk of losing it on the way.

AIBE (11) Registration Process

  • Visit the official website of AIBE to fill the form online or to download the hard copy of the form
  • While filling the information, candidates also need to upload the documents including advocate ID card, enrollment certificate, scanned photograph and signature, category and disability certificate (if required)
  • After filling the form, candidates need to make fee payment through SBI Challan
  • Candidates need to pay AIBE 2023 application fee within 24 hours of registration
  • Candidates filling the form online don't need to send any application form or other document to the BCI office

AIBE (11) 2023 syllabus is an important part of the examination. However, the authorities haven’t made any clear announcement regarding the syllabus.
