Velammal Engineering College is one of the best colleges from Chennai

Placements are almost 95 to 100% but the best salary packages are given to the top students. Others, get a package amounting from 3 to 4 lakhs. Most of the reputed companies take part in our placement drive. The college infrastructure is brilliant but the hostel requires improvement. There are different buildings (blocks) for different courses, which are well structured and fully equipped with air conditioning. All types of labs are available here.

Nice college to study in, if you are studious. It is one of the very few colleges, where parents can be assured that their children would be taken care of, albeit, in a bit strict manner. The faculty, especially in EEE, ECE Departments literally leave no stone unturned to get good results, like I said, if you are focused and studious, you will like their approach, you will have ample opportunities to excel in, yet you can have a good time as well. It is not as strict as they project themselves to be. Overall a good place to pursue your degree.
