Doctor of Philosophy (Bio-Technology) - The candidate should have passed masters degree or equivalent from any recognised university. Selection will be based as per the university norms. -

USBT - The best place to study Biotechnology

USBT could be the best place to study Biotechnology at the undergraduate level after IIT- Delhi. It has the best faculty and almost perfect infrastructure. The most important requirement for a Biotechnology course is the lab facility and the labs here are well furnished and provide first-hand experience on all necessary equipment to every student in the complete curriculum of the degree program. However, what one would miss here are places to relax at. Although, the campus is very beautiful but it is located on the outskirts of Dwarka so it hardly has any nearby place to hang out at with friends. The only hope for students is the Mc Donalds near the Metro station which too is not very close to campus. The canteen is good but does not offer much variety of food. The greatest asset of the campus is its library and its free wifi which keep students interested.

It is one of the best places in Delhi if you are interested in Biotech

The institute, although less known, boasts of an accomplished faculty, a well structured and rigorous curriculum, well-equipped labs and infrastructure. Biotechnology is a field in its germinal stages in India, so there are not many options available in Delhi, and it is generally not a biology student's cup of tea. Since, biology is a necessary criteria for entrance, biology students get an opportunity to do a B.tech in a biology related course from a respected institute.

USBT - Well managed and progressive

USBT is one place that has taught me a whole lot of things from being open to new opportunities to dealing with all kinds of people and situations to obviously all the biotechnology skills I have. The labs are great, well equipped, the faculty is humble and amazing and the infrastructure good and well maintained.

University School of Biotechnology is just not providing the degree but also preparing a better individual. You will not just get a college with awesome infrastructure but also with quality professors who believe in delivering nice set of knowledge to the students so that they can standout well and good in this undeveloped branch in India with full confidence so that the biotechnologists could develop this field on their own in India.

Good staff, good infrastructure of campus

Labs are fully equipped, teachers are highly qualified and most of them are quite good. Everything is available in campus. Classrooms are good, though only a few hangout spots within campus. Also extracurriculars and societies need to be encouraged more by the administration.
