University of Delhi : Fees, Admission Procedure 2025, Entrance Exam Accepted & Placements

The university of Delhi, a premier university, was established in the year 1922 by the Act of the then Central Legislative Assembly. DU is known for its excellence in research and teaching that has attracted many students from all parts of the country who later went on to achieve greater careers in life.

There were only three colleges, when the university was born, namely St. Stephens College, Hindu College and Ramjas College that were affiliated to it with two faculties (Science and Arts) and about 750 students. With time, DU has been listed as one of the largest universities in India with 16 faculties, 77 colleges, 86 academic departments and 5 other recognised institutes spread all across Delhi.

The Hon’ble Vice President of India, Hamid Ansari said that DU is a role model for other varsities in India at the celebration of its 94th foundation day.
The University of Delhi provides Undergraduate and Post Graduate programmes, Diploma programme and Research. It has its five departments namely Geology, Zoology, Chemistry, Sociology and History awarded the status of Centres of Advanced Studies.

The two main campuses of DU are South Campus and North Campus that are considered the best when it comes to academic standards.
The University of Delhi has been the path-setter for most of the universities and continue to maintain its commitment towards excellent academic tradition since years.
