University Business School, Panjab University is located at Chandigarh. The institute is in the process to build an Information Technology Park.University Business School formerly known as Department of Commerce and Business Management was established in 1995 by the Panjab University. The transformation from a Department to a school has given it a distinct identity as a 'School of Thought'. The philosophy of the management education at the UBS is built on an integrative value system. It is motivated by duty bound work ethics, human approach and scientific temper. The major facilities at campus are Computer laboratory with more than 50 terminals connected to high speed Internet connectivity, Wi-Fi enabled campus, Air-conditioned auditorium, Two seminar halls equipped with audio-visual aids and computer etc.The faculty and students of the institute undertake various research publications like Human Resource Information System in IT Organisations in India, Growth of selected small and mediumsized enterprises in Haryana with special reference to EBusiness etc.

University Business School is located in the heart of the city beautiful Chandigarh which is the "Gateway to the North" and is on its way to build an Information Technology Park, on the lines of the other tech savvy cities of India. Laboratory

University Business School is equipped with a state of the art computer laboratory with more than 50 terminals connected to high speed Internet connectivity through Computer Centre, Panjab University. Moreover, the campus is itself WiFi enabled. In addition to this, the school has air-conditioned auditorium and two seminar halls equipped with audio-visual aids and computers.

Library

The A. C. Joshi library (Main Library) of Panjab University among the best libraries in India, with about a million volumes, including a fine collection of reference books and subscription to over 1500 journals and periodicals, is the parent library of UBS. In addition to this, UBS has an in-house library with more than 11,443 books and with a subscription to more than 152 journals comprising of both Indian and International publications, thus enabling the students to find references relating to

Excellent college for MBA aspirants

It is located in the beautiful Chandigarh city. Prestigious campus. Easy access to public transport. Excellent college. Great ROI. Faculty is very good. All of them are PhD holders. The atmosphere is competitive. It brings out the best in student. Placements are satisfactory. Top MNC's visit the campus for recruitment. Infrastructure is huge and attractive. The fee structure is high. 24/7 WiFi facility. Events, seminars, conferences, exhibitions, fests, tournaments etc are organised regularly. Faculties are knowledgeable and helpful. Most of them are PhD holders. Modernized teaching methods. Reputed companies like KPMG, EY, HDFC, ICICI, RELIGARE, KOTAK, M&M etc visit the campus for recruitment. Minimum salary package is 6 L per year and maximum 15 L per year.

The overall life at the campus

The life at campus is a little low since most of the students don't get hostel, hence most of the them leave for their home as weekend arrives. Although sometimes the guest lecture and assignments keep them preoccupied. Overall the campus life is average.

Area around the campus is clean and full of greenery. Proximity to airport. Bus stand and other public transport is very near to the campus. Faculties are helpful and supportive. They are highly educated and trained. Classrooms are spacious. Huge infrastructure. Labs are well equipped. Canteen serves good food. Modern facilities. Hostels are well furnished. Diversity towards gender, ethnicity, economic status. Cultural fest and technical fest is organised every year. Stipend is offered in internships. Jobs are offered to deserving students with good salary package. Open discussions, role plays, group activities, presentations and seminars are held every alternate day.
