Infrastructures

Institute's infrastructure is equipped with all the modern amenities.

Classroom

Rooms conceptualized to encourage and stimulate mind activity, SIMC sessions are conducted in mind rooms. The rooms can hold 100 to 120 people at a time, acoustically equipped with Bose speaker systems for the best audio quality. Each mind room is provided with an overhead LCD projector that can be used for presentations and are air conditioned for comfort.

Laboratory

The sound lab at consists of a semi acoustically suited setup with Pro Tools; a sound recording studio for live recordings and is the perfect arena to learn software like Sound Forge and Adobe Audition. The Photography Lab at Lavale campus comprises of the facilities and equipment for any professional studio setup. Fully air conditioned, the SIMC computer lab has 80 Dell powered terminals with 15’ inch flat screens. Powered with internet access, all the systems are updated with the latest softw

Library

The Lavale campus has over 3000 books, technical and non-technical covering various aspects of mass media and communication management. Some such subjects include print media, broadcasting, advertising, marketing, communication research, public relations, radio and television, film, information technology and traditional media.

Symbiosis Institute for Media and Communication was one of the best decisions I made in life. The college introduced me to a world of new experiences. It gave me an opportunity to learn varied skills like photography, video editing, designing etc in just one year of college. The exposure has also been great. Our college frequently arranges lectures by famous names in the media industry, which has helped us to understand the ins and outs of the constantly booming and dynamic industry.

This college offers us six internships during the three-year course of Mass Communication. Hence, giving us experiences, building our resume and helping us with our professional lives afterwards. However, the course is extremely rigorous and has very strict attendance of 90%. Although the intention is good, but it sometimes work negatively.
