AMAZING PLACE FOR GRADUATION

No one could ever find such campus anywhere in Ahmedabad or even in Gujarat. Our college includes academics as well as activities such as sports, YOUTH FEST, CULFEST, ECOFEST. We have NSS activities as well. We have a very brilliant faculty for all the BA, B.Sc. and for B.Com. courses as well. We have an Anti-ragging squad, thus all the students feel safe. We have a very large and beautiful campus, maintained by the students itself.

Course content and the chapters included by GU

The course that we study in Economics throughout the three year term is way below the course in Delhi University. We face huge difficulties while preparing for the various entrances and Delhi School of Economics seems just a dream. Kindly look after it for the future generations.

Introspection, insight, correction

Well, I joined this beautiful College in 2015, a renowned prestige institution as the image was. I never had a dream college, but then this college was my priority and got into it. As people told, I came in with the perception that I am going to get into some new arena, a new set where I will learn something new and develop my skills. Being Frank about it, we were told in the orientation that around 37 companies come for placement here, till date I have seen none. Teacher politics is everywhere but the general rule is - the heat, the grudge, the differences among the faculty should not affect the students, which didn't happen here. In first year I studied things which I had learnt in 12th CBSE. The course is pretty much enlightened but the syllabus is of Mughal era. And the sad part is, the management or the faculty is not ready to bring any changes to it, to match the standards. Hence, we are left unemployable due to lack of knowledge and exposure. Talking about good things , professors are really nice and genuine by heart, they hardly let you down, few do but it does not allow me to generalise the statement. I've been to a school (Prakash higher secondary school) where the principal was not so nice. Here in our college our father principal fulfilled all my expectations - the most genuine, cooperative, nice and the smartest person you could ever meet. He is a genius, why I am adding this, is because a leader can make a huge difference and such principal makes the students pretty comfortable. No matter what, the college stands in unity, be it the students or the faculty, that is the best thing about the college. Again, few people in management are pretty non-cooperative, harsh and rude to students which is a very sad fact. Autonomy is not felt. The liberty is not properly utilized, because of stringent orthodox mindset and the internal disputes. But everywhere changes are expected to be seen. And I know the college will grow and reach the new heights. I want the college to improve, grow and become the number one college in India.
