Placement

The distinctiveness of Centre for Training and Placement (CTP) cell of St. Joseph's College of Engineering makes it different from the other institute. The placement and training cell planned it’s all activities very carefully and systemically. The CTP cell of the college foster students according to industry demand and invites top notch firms in the campus for the recruitment process. The placement process of the college starts after the completion of sixth semester. College has separate halls for Written Tests, Presentation, Group Discussion, Activities and Personal Interviews.

Infrastructures

St. Joseph's College of Engineering (STJCE) located in the “Land of Tamils” Tamil Nadu. Tamil Nadu is the eleventh largest state in India by area and the sixth most populous state in India. STJCE College has a global standard of infrastructure facilities for students. The movement students enter in the premises of the college its gives positive vibes to students. The campus of the college is fully encircled by greenery, flower beds, water ponds which create scenic environment for the academics. College provides world class infrastructure facilities for the students. Institute has central well – stocked library, a modern computer lab & laboratories, and Multimedia classrooms, sports facilities, conference room, medical, bank, open air theatre for students. 

Classroom

Two theaters of 3500 sq.ft. each and three conference halls of 2000 sq.ft. All A/c halls are equipped with the latest teaching aids like LCD projector, slide projector and over head projector. Conference halls are for conducting guest lectures symposiums, seminars, etc. Educational cassettes are also projected in these theaters in consultation with subject staff. Movies are also screened in the theater for hostel students on holidays.

Laboratory

Institute provides separate labs for each department of the college. The labs of each department are well kit out with latest apparatus. The labs of the college assist learner and faculty in their research and projects. Everything is average except food

PLAGIARISED Pros from parents point of view Food of any Jepiar college will be good and thus St. Joseph's College will care you like a born baby which is hell for students You won't be able to bunk classes which is again hell Food from canteen is good and very cheap Pros from student point of view You would get placements for sure if you cleared all subjects Cons from student point of view Canteen will be opened only during lunch and after college time. Classes are designed in such a way the voice of the professor will make you sleep that too after lunch Messages will be sent to your parents if you are absent to college most times your parents will get a call from college Parents will be called to college if you got arrears in any subjects Separate disciplinary committee is there to punish student. You have to write 3 different sets of exams for each assessments. Totally 3 assessment Only 6 days of leave can be taken per semester Formel dress and clean shave along with shoe and tie is required on every day. Most Saturdays will be college No ods will be given for attending college symposium except that you secured some positions from it No leave should be taken on exam except if you are dead Don't think about sem leave Don't think of getting more than 10 days for internship Getting an MC is like getting an bail for major crime don't think of it. Cons from parents point of view You will get calls most of the time. At first it would be good but in a long run you would be getting bp only. My friend's parents have been called just because of been late of 10 min to classes from lunch.

Our College provides us with great opportunities

The College encourages projects and presentations. Inter College Competitions help us to learn new things. Libraries play a major role in one's life which is why our college provides lots of books to students to enhance their knowledge.

Good for academics

The college is decent enough for its education outlook which I Know is the primary look out of an individual. The college believes a lot in the discipline. It's college where we all learn to communicate with the outside world and realise our goals in life and so I think a student here is provided with an atmosphere that helps him achieve it.

Strict and good in education

The college has good academics but has strict rules like the students should be clean shaven, should wear a tie, etc. This is the major drawback of the college. The college is an open area so you get fresh air. The college has 6 working days. The college needs to focus more on sports and more companies should come for placements.

Good and trusted college, famous for its food

The college has a good culture. The staff here is good with decent knowledge. Th placements are good too. However, the college is a little strict so no vehicles other than the college bus are allowed. The college boys are supposed to wear formal clothes with ties and have a clean shave with a decent hair cut. The college excels in academics and sports.
