Private University Estd. 1952 NIRF #1 (Medical) 2024Sree Chitra Thirunal College of Engineering, Thiruvananthapuram is a state Government sponsored engineering college in Thiruvananthapuram (formerly Trivandrum), Kerala. It is among the leaders of technical education in India. The governing body of the college constituted by the Government of Kerala is chaired by Hon'ble Minister for Transport,Government of Kerala with Higher Education secretary,Finance Secretary,Transport Secretary and Managing Director , KSRTC (Kerala State Road Transport Corporation) as ex-officio members. SCTCE is also having the privilege of being one of the seven colleges in the state aided under the world bank funded Technical Education Quality Improvement Programme (TEQIP).

Placement
Sree Chitra Thirunal College of Engineering has a Career Management cell which is managed by experts’ placements team. The placement team works very hard for providing placement to every student. Laboratory
The labs are equipped with hi-tech instruments such as Digital storage Oscilloscopes, Stand-alone Logic Analyser, Programmable Function Generators, and Microprocessor/ Microcontroller Assembler Based Kits. The software labs provide CAD, P-Spice, VHDL, MATLAB and other simulation software in communication.
Library
The library has well-cataloged collection that presently contains over 25000 volumes and 52 technical journals and magazines. An electronic cataloger may also be consulted from the library desk. A highly qualified and experienced faculty manages the library.A central reprographic facility is available to meet the demands of the students and the teachers. It also provides a LCD projector for student activities
