Founded in 1940, Sophia College for Women (SCW) is affiliated to the University of Mumbai and is accredited with NAAC 'A' Grade. It provides quality education for women in the field of Arts & Science. Programmes range from undergraduate to postgraduate to several certificate and diploma courses. It aims at imparting hoslistic education to the women that would help them in the longer run.

Sophia College for Women (SCW) provides Hi-tech computer lab. The lab of the college is located on the 1st Floor, Arts Building; the Computer Centre is well equipped with 93 computers, 4 printers, 2 scanners and DVD writers in all the computers.

Library

The library is central and common to all the academic activities of the College. The library has houses a large collection of books (fiction and non-fiction), journals (both national and international), biographies, encyclopaedias, dictionaries, art books and maps. Audio-visual materials, such as CD-ROMs, VCDs films, slides and filmstrips.

The location of the campus is perfect. Surrounding is decent and developed. Easy access to public transport. Eco-friendly environment. Classrooms are well maintained. Labs are well equipped. Huge library. Hostels are well furnished and clean. Students are helpful, kind and supportive. They are from different cultures and states. Seniors are good. No ragging in the campus is tolerated. Economic status of the college is good. The fee structure is affordable. Extracurricular activities takes place on a regular basis. Placements are offered by reputed companies. 90% of the students get placed with good salary packages. Teachers are well experienced and educated. They guide the students in the best way possible. They make subjects interesting by their way of teaching.

The college faculty is really supportive. My teachers are my role models and I respect them dearly. To err is to human. But to understand from your mistakes and be kind to yourself and other is when you become a fine woman. I'm striving to become just that. Review about Sophia College and its 75 glorious years

It's a good college with an awesome campus and a good faculty. It is strict about the attendance but has a good reputation as well and has recently completed 75 glorious years. The college has a good canteen. Overall its a good college with all the required facilities.

The management is good. The college has a very nice faculty and good infrastructure. We get good exposure here. There are many clubs in the college. There are many extracurricular activities in the college. We have facilities for everything here. Our college fest is the best.

Sophia College-all woman's college is located between Breach candy and Pedder road is known for its discipline. It offers a number of courses for UG and PG and follows a stringent 75% attendance criteria. It's a college that helps its students to grow as individuals and to have a practical experience of their respective fields. Sophia College holds an annual inter collegiate festival kaleidoscope popularly known as kscope by students. It uses Kscope as a medium to showcase it's student's talents and celebrates its all woman core team.
