The School of Technology is a part of North-Eastern Hill University. The school offers courses in the field of Engineering and Technology. The objectives of the University shall be to disseminate and advance knowledge by providing instructional and research facilities in such branches of learning as it may deem fit; to pay special attention to the improvement of the social and economic conditions and welfare of the people of the hill areas of the North-Eastern region, and, in particular, their intellectual, academic and cultural advancement.

Good but some major problems are present here

The good points are: - Teachers are really helpful. - The surroundings are picturesque. - The environment is great to focus on your studies. The drawbacks: - Not AICTE approved. - Like most govt. run institutions, there is a lag in work. Results are not declared on time. Exam routines are given at a very later period which hinders our routine planning.

About campus, placement hostel and administration

The hostel is very good and has many facilities at low prices that is 100 Rs./month. The mess is also good. University campus is quite large with a wide natural beauty. The college has wide facilities and contains all lab and facilities. But the college is lacking in administration because of which it has not been getting the AICTE affiliation. Placement facilities are also good. If you want to get a college within the budget then NEHU would be a right choice for you. The overall cost will be below 3 lakhs. It is a central university and ranks on 15 position in MHRD ranking. The campus is full of wide no. of people belonging from various countries. The teachers are mostly from NITs and IITs with a wide experience.
