National Institute of Technology, Calicut is one of the best institutes in India. The National Institute of Technology Calicut was setup by an act of parliament(Act 29 of 2007) namely, the National Institute of technology Act 2007, which received the assent of the President of India on 5th June,2007. The institute provides quality education with experienced faculty members. The college provides both bachelors & master level degree programs. The institute is situated in the beautiful land of Kerala and provides excellent infrastructure facilities for students. Institute is fully funded by Govt. of India. NIT mission is to develop high quality technical education and personnel with a sound footing on basic engineering principles, technical and managerial skills, innovative research capabilities and exemplary professional conduct to lead and to use technology for the progress of mankind, adapting themselves to the changing technological environment with the highest ethical values as the inner strength.

About study level in Mtech in ICS

If you are thinking about M.Tech in ICS from NIT Calicut and you are from north it will be difficult for you. Here electrical department is very strict, if you want your stipend on time you have to punch daily twice in fingerprint reader. There can't be any proxy. Quality of teachers is not that good. But if you have courage and can study self you can come here. If you want placement or want to go for M.Tech specially don't come here.

NITC- a hub of opportunities

The college had a vivid view on placements and training. Regarding CSE, ECE it's almost 98% placement. When it comes to extracurricular and entertainment, you'll enjoy a lot. The teaching staff is also good. If you're enthusiastic, it's a great platform to showcase your talents.

Great learning experience but less industry exposure

You may find the best curriculum in industrial engineering and management in this institute. Great practical works, state of the art labs, realistic software developed by the faculty. You may never get this kind of learning anywhere else. But the lacuna is in training and placement cell which don't operate perfectly to get the real connection of students with industry. You have to do on your own to find internships and even jobs.

NITC- Place to explore and learn

Coming to NITC, it is a wonderful campus; with the greenery and glory associated with its name. It is not only great for studies but also for advancements in sciences. It also organizes technical and cultural fests to keep the students refreshed and energetic. Finally, guys, one of the best part of the college is that it also provides the students with placements in a good company.

Best College in South Indian Technical Institute

Placement static is very good at nit Calicut because in year 2014 at nit Calicut 70.9 percent student through placement cell and some students also not participate in placement because they want higher study like M.Tech, MBA at other institutions and other countries and in year 2015 till 15 September almost all computer science students and electronics and communication students are placed and most of the other branch students are also placed through college placement cell.
