The National Institute of Health and Family Welfare (NIHFW) is an amalgamation of two national level institutions, viz. the National Institute of Health Administration and Education (NIHAE) and the National Institute of Family Planning (NIFP) came into existence in the year 1977. NIHFW is an autonomous institute comes under the umbrella of the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Government of India, proceed as a crest technical institute’ as well as a ‘Brain trust’ for the promotion of health and family welfare programmes in the country. Institute imparts ideal teaching, training, research and doctoral programme through their departments of Communication, Community Health Administration, Education and Training, Epidemiology, Management Sciences, Medical Care and Hospital Administration, Population Genetics and Human Development, Planning and Evaluation, Reproductive Bio-Medicine, Statistics and Demography and Social Sciences.

College have dedicated placement cell . and they have experienced faculty in placement cell.

Infrastructures

The posh campus of the National Institute of Health and Family Welfare (NIHFW) makes learning fruitful for the learners. A well constructed edifice of the National Institute of Health and Family Welfare (NIHFW) comprises RBM clinic, Computer centre, demographic data centre, auditorium, committee room, public health museum etc. In campus amenities institute has separate hostel, canteen, residential complex, teaching block, transport unit etc.

NIHFW institute has open and air conditioned classrooms, which are well equipped with modern facilities, such as audio systems, Overhead Projects. The seating are designed to provide students with complete comfort for the intense hours of classrooms teaching and interaction.

Laboratory

The computer centre of the NIHFW institute is well kit out with latest amenities. The computer centre imparts facilities for data analysis, programming and Computer Assisted Learning (CAL). Computer is well connected with internet facility for its 250 PCs. Centre has a well lit out lab for teaching & training purpose. Computer centre imparts training programmes for its learners such as Computer Applications in Health and Family Welfare Management.

The library is well stocked with all modern facilities.
