Placement

The college takes very keen interest in providing placement to the students so that they are able to get a proper job satisfaction and a complete peace of mind after course gets finished.

Infrastructures

The NIFT Campus Kolkata provides a large platform of education where students not only get to learn but also able to nurture their future with proper placement packages.

Laboratory

Students have an access to IT Labs and Computerized Knitting Lab, Design Studios, Weaving Lab, Textile Testing Lab, Audio Visual Room With LCD Projector etc.

Library

Resource Center, which has a rare and a huge collection of books, magazines and samples related to fashion industry.

NIFT, Kolkata Review

Surrounding is good. There are many government buildings near the college. Good transport facility. Hostels are clean, mess food is not that good. Academic facilities are great. Extracurricular activities and academics are given equal importance. Students are encouraged to participate and develop certain skills. The administrative department is cooperative. Internships and jobs are provided to all the students in top fashion industries. Group activities, open discussions, conferences, presentations etc are conducted for the students. Faculties are highly qualified and talented.

Creative people creating buzz in NIFT Kolkata!!

NIFT Kolkata is a place where there is a cyclone of creative people here and there.Everyone here is nice to others either in helping or in teasing. When you first enter the NIFT gate you think that this is the place where you want to be but the small campus gives a negative point to it. But after thinking a lot you know that place is not good but best as everything is nearby and you can find any mall within a couple of kms. So this gives us the advantage as our campus is in the city. Our infrastructure is nice as we have all the labs and equipment we need. We have Weaving labs, knitting bag, Leather design labs, Mac labs etc. The resource centre is good for us as it allows us to research anything we want and has the material which we will be needing to research. For example, we have collaborated with WGSN for their catalogue. Which is very costly but for our research it is worth it. Canteen, it is slightly good I will not say it is best to me and all my friends are dependent on the "Mashi ka Dhaba" outside the campus which give us a joy of homemade aloo ka paratha.Yum.. The faculty here is nice to everyone and are always ready to help students when needed. They push us from the back so that we learn to grow as well as nurture. When summing up I think I am in my college which I needed or which i wanted to be in. It a nice place for every designing student.
