National Institute of Fashion Technology has emerged as the premier Institute of Design, Management and Technology, developing professionals for taking up leadership positions in fashion business in the emerging global scenario. NIFT has been granted statutory status under the act of Parliament of India in 2006, empowering the Institute to award degrees and other academic distinctions.

Placement

NIFT Campus Placements 2015 were held at 11 Campuses of NIFT viz. New Delhi, Mumbai,Bengaluru, Kolkata, Chennai, Gandhinagar, Hyderabad, Bhopal, Jodhpur, Kannur, Kangra during 20th April 2015 to 10th May 2015. A total of 421 companies registered for campus placements offering 1985 job vacancies across various programs / campuses.

Infrastructures

Institute infrastructure is well equipped with all modern facilities.

Laboratory

Students have an access to IT Labs. The design studios on campus offer ample opportunity to students, to experiment and innovate, while the laboratories provide hi-technology work areas covering real-time aspects of the industry.

Library

The institute at Gandhinagar has a Resource Centre, a key wing of the institute which consists of the Library Wing and Material Wing. The library consists of varied books covering information regarding garments, fashion and technology.

All over review of NIFT Gandhinagar

As we talk about a design college, first thing comes to the minds is the course and the faculty. It's the best college in terms of courses offered as well as faculties. We have good infrastructure. The location of the college is also pretty good. Other activities like cultural and sports events are organized on regular basis.

National Institute of Technology is one of the renowned fashion institutes in India, which provides excellent education, a lot of exposure and healthy working atmosphere for all the students.Extra curriculum activities have been conducted to students to work on personality development. We have guest faculty lectures as well as industrial visits, study tours for the better understanding of the course.

My journey at NIFT, Gandhinagar

One of the best colleges for a career as a Designer in the Accessory Department. NIFT gives you the freedom to explore a lot of things and not just in term of the curriculum but other social and cultural activities. Since you're surrounded with people from different states and regions you learn a lot of things from them. You get to improve your knowledge and learn a lot from them. A great platform to showcase your creativity and also where your creativity is acknowledged and appreciated. You also get to participate in various activities like a fashion show, dance group, have your own band etc. Coming to the curriculum aspect you are given enough freedom to explore in your field. Faculties are there to guide you. You get to the thought process of your own.

Life at Campus in NIFT Gandhinagar!

It is my last semester in NIFT Gandhinagar and the journey of 3 & 1/2 years brought changes in me as a design student.Right from the start NIFT offers an atmosphere to fit in and explore yourselves with no bounds.It gave me a sense to understand the application art and fashion in much deeper perspective.The ambiance and the exposure within the campus motivates me even if it is set apart from academics.The co-curricular activities unites us and builds a sense of teamwork,which is essential in a designer's life.
