Private University Estd. 1952 NIRF #1 (Medical) 2024M. S. Patel Institute of Management Studies, popularly known as FMS-Baroda, was established in July 1984 to make a distinct contribution to advanced management education and research in the city of Vadodara. It's run by The Maharaja Sayajirao University of Baroda (MSU). The courses are approved by All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE). The Faculty aims to develop itself into a centre for quality management education, known for its contribution to the development of Business Leadership and Corporate Excellence.

University, or any other recognized University, or a Post-graduate Degree in an allied subject equivalent thereof. She/he must have obtained either a minimum of 50% marks or equivalent grade in the M.Phil. degree or a minimum of 55% marks or equivalent grade in the Master’s degree. The Students utilize the facility of the Institutes library consisting of over 4000 titles solely on Management and 661,592 titles and 556 newspapers & journals at the University library, the Hansa Mehta Library. The University library at present takes the pride in being the second largest in Asia.
