Lady Hardinge Medical College is one of the respected and hallowed colleges in the medical education. The college came into existence in 1916 for creating and fostering a diverse community of the dexterous practitioner, who are devoted for their work and discovering new remedies for the various diseases. The college was founded by Lady Hardinge of Penhurst, the wife of the then Viceroy of India. The college comes under the aegis of University of Delhi. From February 1978, the college is managed by the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare under an Act of Parliament. Since its inception, the institution has produced 6125 graduates and 2564 postgraduates in various medical and surgical specialities.

Lady Hardinge Medical College (LHMC) College is situated in the National Capital Territory of India Delhi. The college comes under the University of Delhi. The library of the college is well stocked with latest books pertaining to medical field, journals, and periodicals. College has a separate reading room for learners and faculty where they can work on their programmes. The library of the college is air conditioned and kit out with all necessary amenities.
