L. D. College of Engineering situated at Circular Road, University Area, Navrangpura, Opposite Gujarat University is one of the first few engineering colleges in India. It was established on 20th June, 1948. The college is beleived to be a part of Kasturbhai Lalbhai vision and has been named after his father Lalbhai Dalpatbhai. Lalbhai Dalpatbhai College of Engineering is affiliated to Gujarat University. The College offers Bachelor's and Master's degree courses. L.D. College of Engineering is to deliver technical programs and services to meet the changing needs of society and industry and thereby contribute to overall techno- economical development of the State in particular and Nation in general and improve quality of life of communities.

At the time of admission and during study he must actively engaged in industry or profession in and around Ahmedabad. He / She must be working in the company / organization situated within a radius of 45 km from the institute.	-

Each department has modern, fully equipped laboratories for U.G. and P.G. programmes. Most of the laboratories are recognised for testing and standardization by the various organization. Best College Of Engineering in Gujrat

PLAGIARISED Placements : The placements are not that good, especially for automobile branch students who don't get placed in core companies and instead get placed in IT companies like Amazon, Infosys and much more. The first batch of the college comprised of hardly 20-40 people and hardly 10 of them got placed. Infrastructure : One of the things which is the best about this college is its infrastructure. It is a 120-acre widespread campus which is well-maintained and is beautiful. The only problem is that it is located in the interior of Bangalore. The transportation is a small challenge only if you don't have a personal vehicle. Labs of the college are highly furnished with all necessary equipment wherein automobile labs are the best. Faculty : Faculty members are highly qualified but lack the experience and the teaching is not that effective. The college follows the VTU syllabus which keeps updating itself once in a span of 5 years. But on a final note, the teaching is satisfactory, though not that effective. Other Details : Acharya Institute of Technology is placed in between its other sister institutions. The main campus includes MBA institutes of graduate studies and AIT. Sports and other countries curricular activities get good support sports department being the best. Besides this, AIT has the best incubation centre for young and aspiring entrepreneurs. Entrepreneurs get a very good support for their project. The placement cell is really good, though placements for the automobile branch are not that good whereas other branches have 100 percent placements.
