KM Music Conservatory (KMMC) provides a strong foundation in the study of music by imparting excellent learning in performing various instruments of the music domain. KMMC was commenced in the year 2008 for imparting higher education in the field of music. College was incepted by the A.R. Rahman Foundation. The Foundation is quite popular because of the legendary music maestro, Indian composer, singer-songwriter, music producer, musician and the Oscar winner A.R. Rahman. KM Music Conservatory is located in the gateway of South India, Chennai in Tamil Nadu. KMMC College offers superlative part-time and full-time courses in Hindustani and Western classical music and music technology. The well designed college has all necessary amenities, which include commercial recording studios and The Sunshine Orchestra for underprivileged children. College trained its students through eminent faculty, which is from around the world, with specialisms in musical performance, musical theory and analysis, music history and music technology. The college is affiliated to Middlesex University in London. The Diploma programme is approved as part of the BA (Hons) Music Degree course at Middlesex that means students have an opportunity to graduate from KMMC and move forward to complete an internationally recognised honours degree in the UK.
