Private University Estd. 1952 NIRF #1 (Medical) 2024Kempegowda Institute of Medical Sciences (KIMS), Bangalore prepares scientific physicians for the medicine world. The excellent institute was commenced in the year 1980 by the Vokkaligara Sangha. The keystone of the KIMS was laid by the Hon'ble Chief Minister Shri. R Gundu Rao. Institute offering postgraduate & diploma programmes in medical for its students since 1991-92. KIMS is affiliated to to the Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences, Karnataka and is recognised by the Medical Council of India. Institute has total 24 separate medical departments offering superlative medical amenities for curing respective disease. Apart from this institute celebrates KIMS day every year also KIMS celebrated their Silver Jubilee in the year 2006. The objective of the institute is to inject knowledge, skills, passion, curiosity, behaviour in each learner and augment them to become kind-hearted and caring physician for the medical world.

The labs of the institute are kit out with apparatus like Petri dish, a glass flask, Disposable gloves, Microscope, Burette, Dispensable pipettes and Gas chromatograph.

The library of the KIMS is well stocked with latest books pertaining to medical field, journals, and periodicals. KIMS has a separate reading room for learners and faculty where they can work on their programmes. The library of the college is air conditioned and kit out with all necessary amenities.
