Jyothishmati Institute of Technology & Science was established in August 1997, by Shalini Vidya Samstha, Karimnagar, under the chairmanship of Sri J.Sagar Rao who has vast experience in successfully running the Jyothishmathi Group Of Institutions in Karimnagar. The Institute is approved by the All India Council for Technical Education(AICTE), New Delhi and is affliated to Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University (JNTU),Hyderabad.

The college library has at present a total collection of 16,672 volumes covering nearly 3,292 titles and 2116 reference books.About 153 periodicals are subscribed for the library . There are 97 International Jouranals , 23 National Jouranals, 33 Magazines and are displayed according to each Branch. All the books are classified using D.D.C. (Dewey Decimal Classification ) and C.C.(Colone Classification ) as per Anglo-American cataloging rules.

Best college and facilities

It is a very good college for education, the faculty in this college are very educated and they have good teaching skills, not only in classroom we had learnt the lessons more practical way in labs. Apart from education, my college management is very supportive for fest events and extra curricular activities which make us strong mentally. And the college infrastructure is very nice. We have sufficient and advanced labs for each department. Finally this college gave me the best route to grow in the career.

My opinion on my college named JITS

It is one of the best colleges in Karimnagar. The staff members are very friendly. Academically, it is very good but its infrastructure is not that good. Cultural activities in the college are poor.
