Good college! Overall had a nice experience being a student of this college

The course material was good and really upto the mark introduction of subjects like Artificial Intelligence and ASP. Net was really helpful, faculties were helpful from the start they used entertain our problems even after college hours and their were even doubt clearing classes for each subject. Project work and topic of the projects were Industry standard also, as it being an autonomous institute results were declared within a very short period of time. The college was very strict with its rules and regulations their were frequent evaluations of our progress. Tests were taken on regular basis along with viva and practical work. Labs were very good with all latest computers.

Horrible experience. Under-developed surrounding. Labs and classrooms are not updated with latest technology. No WiFi facility. Canteen serves pathetic food. No extracurricular activities. No placements. Below average faculties. Only the campus crowd is good.

JIS COLLEGE OF ENGINEERING REVIEW

The college is slightly underrated. As far as quality of education, exposure to modern technologies, discipline etc are concerned, the college is working properly. Apart from the formal education, the college also encouraged the students to participate in various activities for the overall development of its students, so that they don't face any hindrances in the path of their career. MOU's (student exchange programmes) with different international institutions like MIPT (RUSSIA), AT (SINGAPORE) and numerous other reputed institutions from all around the globe are also conducted. It is one of the best colleges for engineering. JIS College of Engineering has been ranked as 76th among the top 100 Engineering Colleges in India and the 1st in West Bengal. JIS College of Engineering has come up with a Flip Learning facility, which was inaugurated recently in West Bengal.

Save Yourself and your Career.

Different college on fb, negative content. Hello All, You just cannot imagine a worst college than this. No moral rights for students at all, if you complain or protest against anything either your career will be threatened or you will b heavily fined. Most importantly rubbish placement a vey few actual companies visit the campus and rest all are fake or non engineering jobs. You won't believe they actually posted a fake list of students placed in different companies during NAAC visit. They even called a company in the campus which was looking for night guards. No facilities at all , very rude faculties. In short it is a showoff of razzle-dazzle world rest be assured emptier than a empty vessel.

FACULTIES ARE QUITE GOOD RAGGING FREE CAMPUS BUT PLACEMENT NOT TOO MUCH EXPECTED

PLAGIARISED Placements : The placements are above average. The highest placement is 27 lakh per annum in the engineering department and the management department it is 14 lakh per annum. Various companies are coming to the university, like Amazon, Microsoft etc. For mechanical, there is Honda, Mahindra and many other companies. Till now there are 460 companies that have come for recruitment. Infrastructure : Many new buildings are created. New study blocks are under construction and there are AC and non-AC hostel available. Non-veg is provided on Wednesday and Sunday at night. Wednesday night chicken and Sunday night egg curry. A lift is present for students for hassle free move (Hostel). Rooms are equipped with an Ethernet connection. So you get a connection with unlimited data. Faculty : The best faculty for each department. They help by giving notes, and previous question papers. Tests are held on every one month gap called MSTs. Many practicals are also held. Many seminars are held to keep students updated to the technology and industry requirement. They have their own student portal where you can get all info related to your curriculum and your study material is also there.
