Nice college only location is a bit problem.
According to me I would rate College 4/5.
Now getting into the detail of why this rating-
The biggest question anyone has is that
How is the Mess here?
Mess here is fine and overall good quality food is served. The mess food is eatable and you will find almost everyone going to the mess here except for a few days.The Mess serves somes really good food and menu is changed every month. The fruits and vegetables also change according to the seasons. The mess here is better than many colleges throughout the country and is even FSSAI approved. For a detailed info visit this video.
Academic-
The Academic Facilities provided by the college is good and I can tell about the CSE Department Labs that they are well maintained and recently all the outdated systems were also updated.There are 5 labs for Computer Science Students in the college, and I am sure that for other branches the labs are good as I have never heard people from other braches complaining about it. The staff here is good and leaving out a few faculties all are co-operating and of friendly nature and they will surely help you out in your academic or non-academic problems. Since their is no GATE coaching available nearby the faculties many a times while teaching tell that this type of problems come in GATE and even help people and clear their doubts related to GATE. The faculty here is almost available 10 hrs a days from Monday to Saturday in their respective cabins so doubt clearing is not an issue.
BUT the worst part is that we have college Monday to Friday 9 am–5 pm and Saturday 9 am –1 pm which leaves a very little time for self-learning. You will only get sundays for yourself and that you will mostly spend in completing a copy or any other assignment.
There's an 80% Attendance criteria and their are 5 marks for attendance and those are only awarded if your attendance is above 90%. Although students are debarred from examination if they have attendance below 70% but those attendance marks hurt the most when you loose 1 grade due to those 5 marks but still all this is bearable and most Indian Private Colleges follow such system.
Infrastructure-
The infrastructure of the college is great and the campus is very big. We have all types of sports facilities available from Indoor Badminton Courts to Outdoor Football Field. We also have Table Tennis Rooms in all years hostel. College has three big academic Blocks with more than 12 Lecture Theatre and 32 Classrooms. All Lecture Theatres are equipped with AC and CR also have the centralized cooling duct. Library is good and you will find mostly all the books related to the course in ample amount along with their e-books. College also has a big auditorium where all our cultural activities are held.
Hostel- So hostels are excellent in college. We have 24*7 Electricity, Water and Internet. Hostels in First Year are all 3-bed rooms with few exceptions of single bed room(costly and not Recommended). The 3-bed rooms have 3 different compartment for every person. The hostel are also equipped with air cooled duct which are good enough if you live on ground or first floor. Cooler is a must if you have room on top floor. I will also add photos of how the room looks. The college provides 1GB net daily for each person. The net has a daily limit which get renewed daily at 12 o’clock in the night. Some sites are blocked on the internet like gaming, IP, Porn and P2P, although their are ways to bypass them. The Internet Speed is great and we get upto 500KBps-2MBps of downloading speed depending upon your distance from the router. Each floor has a 4 bathrooms and toilets. Overall hostels are great and Hostel Life is one of the best part of this college if you make friends. Jio network can be found in some rooms although Idea Network has a great connectivity for personal usage. It is recommended that you should avoid ground floor as due to great greenery during rainy seasons large number of insects end up crawling in your rooms. First and Second Floor are the best with this respect and these floors also have good mobile signals. Bed 1 and 3 have more privacy as compared to Bed-2 so those are better. The college also provides Laundry Service to all hostel students and it cost is included in the hostel fees itself so you don’t have to pay for it everytime you go to laundry except for dry cleaning.

Rules and Regulations and Administration- Now this is the worst part of the college that’s one of the reason I rated it 6/10. The college has got some really silly rules and regulations. I’m listing some below-
There is a fine even when you are caught late in the night playing COD or Counter Strike(1st Year hostels Only)
You cannot hold a post if you do not have a cgpa of 8+( Totally baseless rule of judging someone's creativity by marks)
You cannot go to mess in shorts or bermuda and no slippers allowed in mess(1st year mainly)
and many more funny rules like that.
The college authority will judge you totally on your marks and cgpa and not what knowledge you have.
I will not write much here as I am still studying and let you judge by what others have written-
What things do you want to change about JUET -Registrar, Mess, Teachers, or anything else?
Location and Culture- The college is not situated even in Guna and is 23 Km away from their so their are very less places for one to visit. Since Guna is a small city there is no exposure to the technological world and your main source for wider knowledge is Internet only. There's very little industry exposure as only thing which is close by is GAIL and NFL. Their are not very good places to eat around,except Highway Chef(Non-Veg) and Annapurna(Veg). If you want great pure restaurant food then you have to travel 30 Kms to Hotel Varun or Sara situated in Guna. The location is one of the few cons of the college. The college has a average medical centre and for serious problem college ambulance take the person to GAIL or Guna but generally it is of no use so people tend to go to their hometown to get proper cure due lack of good medical facilities in the city. There is one good Multiplex in the city and generally all Bollywood and Hollywood(Dubbed) Movies are shown their. Yes, their is no Mcdonald's and Dominos or any such big food chain so you might end up saving a lot of money too.(JUET Students tend to differ from other college students in this area as other go back home to enjoy home cooked food and we go back home to enjoy fast food as much as possible).
Coming to the culture, the culture of the college is good and happening and you will find some new activity and event being conducted by JYC(Student Body Council) every Weekends. The senior junior relation is also great and you will find many seniors and juniors together in the evening. The Coding culture of the college is also improving and CSI Student Body has done a great work in encouraging my year in indulging into Competitive Programming and Development. Currently we are doing better than many of the competitor colleges in this part and take my word it will improve more in the coming time.
