Jai Hind College was incepted in 1948 by a little band of committed educators of the D.J Sind College Karachi. An appalling world occasion, the allotment of India, had driven them from their homes, their companions, and their work place. Weaker men would have succumbed to such afflictions, yet these were men of stronger guts. They came to Bombay, and persisted notwithstanding all chances to attain to their objective of setting up an instructive foundation to which they could contribute their skill, their insight, and their abilities. This was additionally their method for paying back, in significant measure, the obligation they felt they owed to the area that had offered them asylum and security. Anyhow it filled an alternate need also, for it empowered them to recover their own particular self esteem which circumstances had so seriously wounded. Hence Jai Hind College was conceived. Jai Hind College was not generally enormous. It was little to be sure when it was conceived, in the wake of the Partition of India, in August 1947. The men who assumed a noteworthy part in its creation were teachers of D.J. Sind College, Karachi, aided by a couple of different educationists, who met up under the pennant of the Sind Educationists' Association headed by the organizer Principal, Prof T. M. Advani.
