The Institute currently conducts undergraduate and postgraduate level courses approved by All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), New Delhi. It is a pioneer institute for business studies in Roorkee and is fast progressing for the youth of Uttarakhand and the country. Placement
IMS, Roorkee has an active training & placement cell that gives complete assistance and guidance in getting suitable summer and final placements.The cell is headed by a Training & Placement Officer & compromises of faculty members of IMS-R, who mentor students by providing various training modules like interview skills, preparation for aptitude tests, group discussion. The cell continues to establish a warm and cordial relationship with the industry and business community in order to provide a permanent inter institutional linkage so that management graduates will gain the unique experience and strength.

The Institute of Management Studies - Roorkee is decently furnished & well equipped, airy and spacious class rooms/lectures halls, a well appointed conference room, and an adequate, well furnished and audio/visual equipped auditorium.

Laboratory
IMS, Roorkee computer center is equipped with state-of-art Networking technology, having 90 computers with latest Pentium IV Processor.
Library
The IMS-R Library is equipped with more then 8000 volumes of books having more than 3000 titles. In 2006-2007 more than 1000 new books with new titles/ new authors on all subjects related to Management have been added. The Library has more than 83 national & international magazines and journals. English and Hindi newspapers of national level, magazines are contributed adequately.
