Private University Estd. 1952 NIRF #1 (Medical) 2024Institute of Engineering And Technology, Lucknow (better known as the "Engineering College" in Lucknow), is the oldest engineering college of Lucknow. The institute is affiliated to the Uttar Pradesh Technical University (U.P.T.U). The institute organizes the selection process for the students in undergraduate and postgraduate programmes every year for the state of Uttar Pradesh. The SEE (State Entrance Examination) is conducted by UPTU and the online counseling process is also done by UPTU. The institute is fully financed by U.P Government and is being administered by the IET Society (registered under the Societies Act 1860) through its Board of Governors.

Placement
As always there has been unprecedented placement scenario at the Institute of Engineering and Technology campus during campus placement of 2008-2009. The session of placements already ended. The candidates for recruitment-2010 consist of the B. Tech., M. Tech., MBA and MCA students who will be passing out in the summer of 2010.

The institute well developed with all new facilities.
Laboratory
The institute has well-equipped air-conditioned computer laboratories with the latest in both hardware and software. All the computers are part of an intranet. The institute has high bandwidth Internet connectivity round the clock. Students and researchers have 24 hour-access to the computational facilities.
Library
Institute has an excellent library adjacent to academic block. Apart from books, students have access to the latest magazines, international journals, newspapers and research papers. The library also stocks a huge collection of educational cd-roms and old copiesof important periodicals. Library. It aims to facilitate production & dissemination of knowledge, information, insights & intellectual contribution in all areas of education among the academic and business community.
