School of Gender and Development Studies (Indira Gandhi Open University)  aims at achieving gender justice and equity through developing and launching programmes in the area of women’s and development studies. The vision of the institute is to actualize the aspirations in building a fair society where gender discrimination would become unproductive and simply vanish. Though women would remain different from men, conscious and proud of their difference, feminist values would remain intact. The contribution of women in the development of our country needs to be recognised.
