The Indian Institutes of Management (IIMs) were created by the Indian Government with the aim of identifying the brightest intellectual talent available in the student community of India and training it in the best management techniques available in the world, to ultimately create a pool of elite managers to manage and lead the various sections of the Indian economy. IIMs play a leading role in the nation’s managerial manpower development in addition to carrying out research in emerging areas. These Institutes are recognised as premier management institutions, comparable to the best in the world for teaching, research and interaction with industries. As role models for other Indian B-Schools, they have shared knowledge and skills with these institutions to improve their quality and standards in management education. IIM Udaipur aims to set a new benchmark in the field of management education by delivering a high quality of education through the dissemination of knowledge. Set in the picturesque backdrop of Udaipur, one of the busiest tourist attractions in India, the Institute strives to roll out a curriculum that will be most in-line with industry with a focus on global business practices.

Placement
IIM Udaipur started its placement process relatively late as compared to the other IIMs, it still witnessed an overwhelming response from recruiters willing to offer interesting roles across domains to the students. The innovative curriculum, which has been designed after numerous deliberations to match industry needs, was the single most appealing factor for the recruiters.
Infrastructures
IIMU have well equipped with all modern facilities campus .
Classroom
The classroom at IIMU, with a capacity to accommodate 66 students, has been designed and built with some of the high-end materials that are both functionally effective and aesthetically superior. With the board in the centre well and tiered seating arrangement in a semi-circular pattern, it ensures that everyone in the classroom has clear view and attention. The walls are acoustically treated with 70mm thick combination of rock wool and wool wood board covered with fire retardant fabrics.
Laboratory
Understanding the importance of Information technology and going with the ideology of providing the world with IT enabled managers IIM Udaipur has provided the state of art IT infrastructure in the campus for the students. As the Internet connectivity is central to the information inflow and outflow as well as a source to keep pace with the rapidly changing scenarios, IIM Udaipur has provided 1 Gbps internet link in the campus. A backup link of 5 Mbps is also kept to minimize the downtime
Library
The IIM Udaipur library is in many ways the ideal B-School library. It possesses a wide assortment of course-related and factual literature that encompasses everything from Information Technology to Operations Research.
