The Home Science College is part of Tamil Nadu Agricultural University to start with this college functioned along with one Department of Home Science, with the ICAR accreditation committee approval for introducing other Departments of Home Science in future. Objective of the college is to provide basic knowledge on Home Management practices, Food Science and Nutrition, Human Development, Textiles and Clothing and Extension Education. To create awareness on community nutrition, Human Development, Textiles and Clothing and Extension Education. The college offers Doctor of Philosophy in Food Science and Nutrition.
