HIT was situated up by a gathering of Kolkata based prominent Industrialists eminent public figures in the eastern edges of Kolkata. The establishment behind HIT is Kalyan Bharti Trust. The mission of this trust is to advance instruction, to feed the understudies with rich social legacy of India. Kalyan Bharti Trust has set up a Heritage School in 2001 where the eventual fate of India is being situated up. Legacy Institute Of Technology is associated to West Bengal University Of Technology and sanction by AICTE. The Heritage Institute Of Technology has an active  Placement cell. It is responsible to provide training to the student. The college has a good placement record of placing their student in various industries across the world. It acts as an interface between the corporate world and students. It helps students to plan their career by providing information and guiding them about the companies which approach the College for placement.The Cell continuously co-ordinates with various industries and organizations for placement of its students. It has already successfully placed a high percentage of students in industry. It actively obtains feedback from organization and conveys it to respective departments which, in turn, train students accordingly, thereby increasing their hit ratio.

Classroom

Classrooms are very spacious, airy and equipped with latest PA system, overhead projector and modern magnetic ceramic board. Separate tutorial rooms are also available for special classes.Model classrooms are fitted with LCD projectors.

Laboratory

All labs are equipped with latest equipment.

Library

The library is housed in a large air-conditioned hall of 6000 sq. ft. having a seating capacity for about 250 readers. The Library has a generous collection of more than 43,000 textbooks and reference books on all relevant subjects. The Institute subscribes to a large number of journals, periodicals, proceedings, magazines, local and national dailies which are available for the benefit of the readers. MBA Graduate (Marketing and HR)

One of the most best MBA colleges in Kolkata. Companies like Dabur, Cadbury, Britannia, Colgate and many other such companies have came for recruitment for the MBA batch of 2015 - 2017. 100% placement provided. Students are placed and they are doing well. As far as the quality of teaching is concerned, students are groomed according to the industry standards by individual presentations, team work, stressing on communication skills and what not.

Heritage Institute Of Technology Review

It is one of the best colleges in Kolkata. Surrounding is average. Easy access to public transport. Labs, library and auditorium are fully A/C. Classrooms are spacious and updated with projectors. Hostels are well furnished. Mess food is good. Extracurricular activities are not much encouraged. Students are friendly and supportive. Placements are good. About 90% of the students get placed in good companies. TCS hire good number of students from this college. Most of the faculties are PhD holders. They are well educated and experienced.

This college is good for CSE & IT branch

Heritage Institute of Technology, popularly known as HITK or HIT, is a private autonomous engineering college in Anandapur, Kolkata, near the East Kolkata Township, West Bengal, India. It is among the top five engineering colleges in West Bengal. Some faculty members are really nice and helpful. The college does not encourage us to do new things. Attendance is an issue. The faculty should be better. Placements need to improve.

One of the Best Autonomous Private Engineering College in Kolkata

The college is located at the East Suburban Township of the city of joy. It accepts WBJEE & JEE Main for B.Tech courses & offers many branches of engineering. Most of the Departments are good, helpful except some. The best departments to join are AEIE, Biotechnology & Chemical. Placements are pretty good and chances of getting a job is pretty high. But, do not expect to get dream job here. I will not say, such companies don't come here, but placements in such companies are low. If you want a job, good education, fun and an awesome fest then its certainly the best place in Kolkata among the private engineering colleges in West Bengal. But, don't get into the student politics here. It can ruin the 4 years of UG life. Instead, join Rotaract Club, sharpen your hobbies, be creative. That's all for my college. If you can follow my points, then I can definitely say that you will pass out with some of the best things in your lives.

A Really Great College.

After clearing the WBJEE, I was confused which college to join. The Institute of Engineering and Management or Heritage Institute of Technology. I made a good decision by choosing Heritage. The college provides good opportunity for learning. The labs are well equipped. The library has all the books you will ever require through out the course. If you are interested in sports, there are two grounds inside the campus: the school ground, where tournaments are hosted and the college ground, which isn't as good the school ground but well, manageable. Canteen food is just above average. Overall, you will enjoy it out here.
