Government Women’s Polytechnic College, Bhopal plays a vital role in producing top class technicians and entrepreneurs tuned to the demands of a fast changing industrial sector. It is the first Polytechnic in the State imparting employment oriented technical education exclusively to women. It has contributed meaningfully towards contemporary women technical education through the various diploma and post diploma programmes approved by AICTE and State Government under the aegis of Rajiv Gandhi Proudyogiki Vishwavidyalaya.

Infrastructures
The college is spread over a sprawling four acre campus having a well ventilated building, Hostel facility, sports ground etc. The college building has spacious classrooms, seminar hall, well equipped laboratories, workshops and library thus providing conducive environment for teaching-learning experience.
Laboratory
Well-equipped and modern computer center having several latest computers, in a big leap in the quest to provide standard teaching facilities to students. Internet facility is accessible to students and staff for knowledge up-gradation. Novel and better teaching methodologies like the use of OHP and LCD with latest software’s are frequently used in class room teaching.
Library
The library is well equipped with nearly 18000 books. Out of these around 4000 books are exclusively available for SC/ST students. In addition, we subscribe to specific trade based journals and magazines. The college is also an institutional member of British Council Library, Bhopal.
