Home Science is a professional course offering specializations in Apparel and Textile Design (20 seats), Composite (30 seats), Dietetics (30 seats), Human Development and Family Relations (20 seats), Interior Design and Resource Management (20 seats). B.Sc. H.Sc. Semester-I to IV will be common to all candidates. Specializations will be allotted during Semester-IV, implemented in Semester-V and VI, on the basis of merit drawn up with the following formula - 50% of aggregate marks of (10+2) + 50% of cumulative aggregate marks of University exam of B.Sc.(H.Sc.) Semester I and Semester II. | - |
Placement
The college has an active placement cell which liaisons with the related industry and schedules interviews and placements. The cell organizes workshops on personality development, resume writing and associated activities. Soft skill development and entrepreneurship development workshops are also organized by inviting speakers/experts from the relevant areas.

The college has a well equipped library with books on all the subjects related to Home Science. Great importance is attached to independent reading in the library. The library subscribes to a large number of magazines and periodicals which are placed in the library. Books are issued for a period of fourteen days only. Books not returned in time entail a fine of Re. 1 per day.
