The minimum academic qualification for admission to B.Tech. /B.E. program in Rajasthan is as given below:
(a) Candidates must have taken at least five subjects in class 12th/ qualifying examination in order to be eligible for eligible to be admitted through REAP. The candidates who have taken four subjects are not permitted to participate in REAP and if such candidates appear in REAP by furnishing wrong information, their admission/allotment shall be canceled.
(b) Passed 10+2 examination with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects along with one of the Chemistry/Biotechnology/Biology/ Technical Vocational subject. Obtained at least 45% marks (40% in case of candidate belonging to reserved category) in each of the subjects.
(c) Above mentioned condition in the subjects combination as given above taken together, in the final examination of 10+2 (Class XII) of Board of Secondary Education, Rajasthan or any other examination recognized equivalent thereto by Board of Secondary Education, Rajasthan / Central Board of secondary Education (CBSE).
(d) Candidates with JEE marks, and who have passed 10+2 examination with above mentioned criterion are eligible.
(e) Only those candidates shall be eligible who have passed in each subject of above combination and fulfills the minimum academic qualification as mentioned above latest on 15 June 2017.

The Candidate having mathematics as one subject in class 12th/graduation with graduation degree( minimum 3 years duration) in any subject with At least 50 % marks in aggregate (45 % in case of SC/ST and Non creamy layer OBC/SBC of Rajasthan State) without any approximation in the undergraduate exam from recognized University.
Candidates seeking admission through NIMCET-2016 score.
However the candidate appearing in the final year graduation examination and having valid NIMCET 2016 score will also be permitted to appear in the counselling but their admission will be provisional, subjected to furnishing the marksheet/degree of qualifying examination with the prescribed eligibility by 31st, July 2017 or as decided by Coordinator RMCAAT-2016 on behalf of Govt. Of Rajasthan from time to time. They will be required to submit all the necessary
documents at the allotted institute.
Eligibility criteria for admission in the second year of MCA through lateral entry:

Admission to the Master of Technology Course shall be open to candidates possessing not less than 55% (6.25 CGPA on 10 points scale and equivalent) and 50% (5.75 CGPA on 10 points scale and equivalent) in case of SC/ST in qualifying examinations under following categories:
(i) The candidates who have passed B.E. / B.TECH. Examinations (in related branch of engineering) of RTU or any other recognized University / Institution or any other examinations recognized as equivalent thereto by competent authority.
(ii) Candidates with qualifications obtained through examinations conducted by professional societies recognized by MHRD/UGC/AIU/UPSC/AICTE {e.g. AMIE by Institute of Engineers (India); AMICE by Institute of Civil Engineers (India); IEE} as equivalent to B.E./B.TECH.
(iii) Candidates having M.Sc., MCA and are seeking admission to certain M.Tech. programmes should posses valid and qualified GATE score of the relevant branch.

Classroom
GITS has well equipped lecture theaters,where the higest possible professional knowledge in all the subjects,using modern teaching aids like OHP and LCD projectors are used. Apart from these lecture theraters GITS has 3 seminar hall with the capacity of 150 students. Two specious drawing halls enable students to become experts in the field of engineering drawing, an important part of engineering curriculum.
Laboratory
All the laboratories are equipped with latest instruments.
Library
The institute has its own library,which is equipped with text and reference books. It works on the open access system. The floor area of the library is 477 s.m. with seating capacity of 100 readers. The library has 27389 books. The library subscribes for 40 technical journals, 6 periodicals and 5 magazines. The library provides reprographic facilities to the students on payment.
