The courses leading to a diploma or certificate range from three months to three years thereby empowering students for a full fledged career and self-reliance.
Keeping in view the dual Degree policy, students can pursue any one of the courses offered by GICED besides their regular Degree/Diploma simultaneously of the University Of Mumbai.
The Post-Graduate Diploma In Pharma Management programme received Devang Mehta Award for the best syllabus.
Customs House Agents Licensing Regulations, 2004 recognizes Diploma in Custom Clearance & Freight Forwarding as one of the criteria essential while obtaining the license.

Placement
Success comes to those who prepare well and put in effort. For us, placement is not an activity that begins in the third semester. We have a comprehensive plan in place and our pre-placement training takes place concurrently with the course. Our placement preparation includes sharpening your communication, presentation, aptitude and attitudinal skills. VIFT will also train you in group discussions, mock interviews, and interview FAQs.

A well-stocked library is housed in the institute.It has nearly 7000 titles related to all the courses conducted by the Institute. It is regularly updated with latest books and journals on all the subjects.

Easily accessible campus. Good surrounding. Teachers are excellent. They are highly qualified and experienced. They guide the students in the right path. They solve all the doubts of the students and explain the topics in detail. They help in overall development of the students. Canteen serves good food. Labs and classrooms are good. The college provides good opportunities to the students. Placements are offered by reputed companies.

The college may not have the swanky infrastructure that most colleges provide but its rich in quality teaching. Most of the teachers have been in the industry working alongside their teaching careers which gives them adequate knowledge about the corporate world. Library is not updated with latest books and contain primitive data which may not be authentic for today's statistics. The 60/40 internal-external marking system ensures students are part of lectures and does not put must strain towards the end of the course.
