Gandhinagar Institute of Technology was established by Platinum Foundation Trust in December 2006. The Institute is affiliated to Gujarat Technological University and Gujarat University and approved by AICTE New Delhi. The Institute aims to be a leading center for research and engineering study, pursuing knowledge in both fundamental and applied area, and collaborating closely with business and industry in promoting technological innovation and economic development. The members of the Trust are involved in social activities and are also contributing to the technical institutions development by raising funds and promoting the technical interest of state and country.

Candidate should have passed Bachelors Degree Examination in Arts, Science, Commerce, Engineering and Technology or any other discipline or any other university recognized as equivalent there to with at least 50% of marks in the degree examination (For SC,ST 45%) and possessing other conditions as specified by CMAT. Admission is centralized, and is conducted by ACPC.

The Admission is centralized and as per the norms of ACPC. Candidates need to passed in 10+2 examination with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics subjects from any recognized Board. The aspirants must have appeared in the JEE.

Placement

The institute has an active placement cell which helps students to find suitable jobs. GIT invites company through personal interaction, e-mails, phone calls or Faxes. Companies interested in recruiting GIT students fill up the Job Announcement Form and mail it back to the Training and Placement Coordinator. 

Infrastructures

The institute is located on the outskirts of Ahmedabad/Gandhinagar cities near Vadsar Air force base, about 13 kms from Gota cross road on Sarkhej-Gandhinagr Highway, is in complete harmony with nature. Being away from the city, the picturesque location provides a refreshing environment in which students can pursue their studies peacefully and undisturbed. A place, where tranquility acquires a new dimension and where modern architecture blends with traditional values to heighten the spirit of continuous learning.

 

Classroom

Class rooms are properly furnished with state-of-the art equipments which are well equipped with educational audio-visual systems, LCD projectors & Network connection for providing a conducive atmosphere for learning. The classrooms are also spacious, well lighted & well ventilated.

Laboratory

The computer laboratories of the college are spacious and well equipped with the latest computers, servers, printers, scanners, softwares and application development tools and have internet connectivity.

Library

Books are out great friends, guides and philosophers. Reading habits have to be inculcated in use so that we can make use of the rich collection of books. The institute Library has a large collection of book on technical, scientific, management and general topics. Many current national and international periodicals are subscribed. video Cassettes and CDs are available for self learning.

NOT INFORMATIVE The roof was dirty, dried leaves here and there, towards the right, a broken branch laid next to the rooftop swing. The breeze of the cold, full moon night came muffled with the sound of the leaves of the tall coconut trees of his garden. It was one of those rare starry nights which bewitch you with its serenity. The night sang the song of perfection. Standing there with his hands in his pockets Sai realized that it’s not just him who has travelled a long way and the world around him couldn’t agree more. He became conscious of the fact that he has not gazed the stars for quite some time now. Sai went forward, bent his knees and blew the dirt off the swing. He took his seat and finally, the star gazer breathed back to life within the internationally acclaimed author and entrepreneur. But tonight was different, he wasn’t a celebrity with people around him, struggling their way for a picture or an autograph, today he was just a normal individual being hit with self-realizations and truths that have so long failed to fall to his notice. He sat there in silence, with nature making the only noise; within him and around him. He turned his face to his right, and he could see a young boy around 13 years of age, focused and still, he stared the sky leaning on the boundary wall. Sai was so sure that he was hallucinating, he was so sure that he was watching himself, 19 years in flashback, and the trace of a faded smile ran through his face for the first time in the last two days. He has covered miles from his life in the orphanage. He could see the memories floating afresh in his eyes.

Below Average College

The college is located in an under-developed area. Bad transport facility. Administrative department is not cooperative, they are money oriented. Huge amount of money is spent on fests, they call celebrities to make their institute popular. Students are required to attend all the classes, even if the teachers are not teaching. Placements are offered to deserving students. There are hostels for only boys. Extracurricular activities are the only part of college which is good. Faculties are not much knowledgeable.

Best experience

This is one of the best colleges. The faculty is good and responsive. Best events are organized in the college. The faculty is helpful and put students first. The college is excellent. The college doe not provide hostel facilities. The infrastructure in the best. Companies visit the college for placements and many students get placed. The college provides projector and the faculty has the best teaching methodologies.
