Elphinstone college review

The campus is not that good and it is a small campus. The faculty needs to be changed as they don't teach very well. The labs need better equipments.

An Honest Review

The college follows the pattern set by Mumbai University and due to the university papers, there are no question banks given to students. The teachers do teach well, but they try to cover their portion extremely quickly. However, yes, the faculty might be different for other departments. The canteen in the campus is like an adda for friends to hang out, the food quality isn’t good, but you can definitely try out a few dishes. Moreover, you don’t get any network on college,but can connect to WiFi on the second floor. The girls washroom is cleaned only in the morning and hence is quite bad by the ned of the day. The non-teaching staff member are quite good and supportive, especially during festivals. The college also organizes a trip once a year, which is a little too expensive. The nearest café is the 45 Kala Ghoda, which often has more students than in the campus due to bad connectivity. The crowd here is quite good and there is no ragging and girls are respected.

Overall a good college

Apart from academic training, the college also focuses on the overall growth and development of students. The faculty here is good and most members have an experience of more than 10 years. Above all, there is a lot of learning that comes through the regular interaction with peers. On the other hand, there is no competitive environment in the college, which is a bit of a downside. On the infrastructure front, the college has WiFi and the class rooms are decent, but not all classrooms have projectors installed. Moreover, classrooms aren’t air conditioned. The canteen is not good, but the Chicken rice is yum! Some teachers do give projects to students and there are few guest lecturers who visit the college. The college is strict on attendance and thus during fests we have to attend lectures as well as prepare for the fest. One of the best festival is the Maharashtra Utsav, which one should definitely attend. Overall is a good college.

Elphinstone College

The course is a little expensive to the facilities given to you. The campus is amazing and the teachers are great. There is a lot of scope for improvement. The boy’s washrooms are clean at times and really bad at many occasions. Exams take place too often. Students are given another chance if the fail to appear for their exams but yes with a proper reason. Fests are held throughout the year. The college follows the university of Mumbai pattern. The college has three batches of students the FY, SY and TY. The college has Wifi for students. The library has an amazing collection of books including autobiography books.

Crazy days in Elphinstone!

Elphinstone College looks small from outside but phenomenal inside. The fee structure is quite decent. We do have some spaces for quite studies and precious time. The canteen food is bad and we have suggested them to make it better. We have a Wifi facility in the campus, whereas sports and extra circular activities help students grow as personal and professional level. The teaching facility needs improvement. The strength of the batch is high and has to go a bit down.
