Dr. V. N. Bedekar Institute of Management Studies was established with the aim to propagate knowledge to the society and to standardize, institutionalize the academic environment. It is as on today is a pioneer educational institute in Thane, enthusiastically and zealously catering to the basic needs of education to nearly 14,000 students everyday, across faculties in Arts, Commerce, Science, Law, Polytechnic and Management Studies. Education at the Institute transcends above and beyond classroom and library driven pedagogy. It aims at a holistic development of students’ personality, honing their skills and innate attributes. The Vision of the institute is to be amongst the top management institute in the country and become the world class center of excellence in learning and innovation driven by social sensitivity and state of art technology.

Placement
The college provides placement support to students with many reputed companies.
Infrastructures
The college's infrastructure is well furnished with all modern facilities. The college is surrounded by greenery and scenic views and at the same time located in the industrial centre of Thane, close to the railway station and bus stop. The college has a large air conditioned auditorium, which seats up to 300 people, with modern facilities such as an LCD projector. There are also many conference rooms, project work areas and a foreign language study cell.
Classroom
The classrooms are designed to provide better interaction between the students and the facilitators. All classsrooms are air-conditioned equipped with modern state of the art facilities such as LCD projector, whiteboards, Wi-Fi connectivity and multimedia facilities.

BRIMS Library is proud to have a rich collection of 11352 Books, Bound volumes, 85 Journals and Periodicals, 17 Newspapers spanning all aspects of Management. We have also subscribed to 6 on line databases on social sciences and management. Databases search services like EBSCO and JSTOR, RBI publications are the other facilities that the library provides
