Dr.B.R.Ambedkar Law College was started in 1991 to cater the needs of poor and down trodden people by Sri G.Venkat Swamy garu, former Union Cabinet Minister. The college aims to promote excellence in legal studies.Β The College maintains an excellent academic atmosphere with good infrastructure situated in the heart of the Hyderabad city with spacious classrooms, very well stocked library, computer laboratory, Moot Court Hall and other facilities. The Faculty members are committed academicians with good teaching experience and professionally trained.Β Students are constantly involved in organizing and participating in seminars, moot court competitions, Legal aid camps, conferences, cultural and sports events to develop strong personal and social values.

Course Curriculum

Bachelor of Law (LLB) -

The candidate should passed any Graduation (10+2+3 pattern) of a recognized University with 45% of aggregate marks or any other examination recognized as equivalent by the Universities concerned. 44.5% or more shall be rounded off and treated as 45%.

The candidates who have less than the prescribed percentage but have secured the same percentage or more on the aggregate in any PG Degree (Masters Degree) or B.Ed are eligible.

The candidate who have passed degree examination by single sitting without undergoing three years course either through regular or private or correspondence and those who obtained the degree through open university directly without having any basic qualification are not eligible.

Admission Process

  • A candidate can seek admission into LL.B course (3 year & 5 year) through Web based counselling (A-Category) and directly under Management quota (B-Category)
  • A candidate for admission into LL.B. 3 Year Degree / 5 Year Degree Courses through Web based counselling has to qualify the LAWCET for that academic year.
  • A candidate can also directly seek admission into LL.B. 3 Year Degree / 5 Year Degree Courses WITHOUT qualifying LAWCET under Management Quota.

Bachelor of Arts, Bachelor of Law (B.A.LL.B) -

Candidates should have passed 2-year Intermediate Examination (10+2 pattern) with 45% of aggregate marks or any other examination recognized as equivalent by the University concerned or the Board of Intermediate Education, Andhra Pradesh. 44.5% or more shall be rounded off and treated as 45%.

Note

There is a relaxation of 5% of marks of marks in the above qualifying examination for 3 year law course in favour of the candidate belonging to SC/ST.

Admission Process

  • A candidate can seek admission into LL.B course (3 year & 5 year) through Web based counselling (A-Category) and directly under Management quota (B-Category)
  • A candidate for admission into LL.B. 3 Year Degree / 5 Year Degree Courses through Web based counselling has to qualify the LAWCET for that academic year.
  • A candidate can also directly seek admission into LL.B. 3 Year Degree / 5 Year Degree Courses WITHOUT qualifying LAWCET under Management Quota.

The candidate should have passed LL.B from a recognized University.

Note

The applicants who have obtained 10+2 or Graduation/Post Graduation through open universities without having any basic qualification are not eligible into law courses.
