The Nagpur University was set up on fourth August, 1923 with six subsidiary schools and 927 understudies. Amid 1947, the quantity of understudies expanded to around 9000 joined by the change and broadening of educational program and development in the scope of subjects. The development of library and games offices happened amid these years for the scholarly and physical prosperity of the understudies. It was in 1958 that some new Departments in Arts and Social Science resources were opened; the real extension, in any case, came in 1963 when a few science and other showing Departments were begun. The Departments were moved to extensive structures in the fundamental grounds in 1972-73. In later years, a few vocation situated courses have been begun viz., Business Management, Fine Arts, Mass Communication, Library Science, Physical Education, and so on.
