Dibru College is one of the few colleges in Assam having three full-fledged faculties viz. Arts, Science and Commerce. The objective of the college is to impart higher education to the local students of Dibrugarh as well as the students coming from surrounding vicinity. Today the college also caters to the educational upliftment of a large section of students coming from the tea-tribes, other backward segments, and other neighbouring states such as Arunachal Pradesh, Nagaland, Mizoram and Manipur.
