Department of Chemistry is a part of Veer Narmand South Gujarat University and Accredited by NAAC with 
Grade B++. The department is actively engaged in research leading to M.Phil and Ph.D. degrees. The research is done in the areas like synthetic organic chemistry (dyes, drugs, polymers), surface and colloids chemistry, liquid crystals, separation science, coordination chemistry etc. The department believes that good graduate education requires regular interaction with prominent chemists from other institutions and industries.
